Glowing Egg

Do you think an egg can glow and bounce?  Let’s find out in this fun experiment from HooplaKidz.

You are going to need:

• Highlighter
• Black light
• Bowl
• Egg
• Vinegar
• Jar

Directions:

1. Remove the ink from the highlighter and put it in the bowl.
2. Pour some vinegar onto the top of the highlighter.
3. Use your hands to squeeze the ink out of the packet.
4. Take the jar and place the egg into it.
5. Pour the colored vinegar into the jar.
6. Then add more vinegar into the jar. You want to cover the egg.
7. Leave it for about 1 week sitting out. The vinegar should dissolve the egg shell.
8. Put your egg next to another egg and yours is probably larger.
9. Then put your egg by a black light and turn it on.
10. You can break the egg with enough force, but be prepared to clean up a huge mess.
